In 2005, Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) launched their first enterprise environmental protection award in Hong Kong. Since 2015, FHKI organized the “BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Award” where BOCHK (Bank of China Hong Kong) entered as a sponsor. The award aims to encourage enterprises from manufacturing and service industries in Hong Kong and the Pan Pearl River Delta in implementing environmental protection measures.
GP Batteries International Limited was the first Group in 2005 to participate in the program. As of October 2020, GPI has obtained the award for 13 consecutive years. This award recognized GP Batteries’ commitment in addressing environmental protection and emission reduction, and actively promoting cleaner production in its factories to reduce emissions waste. The award details are the following:
- GPBI and HZMB were awarded the “5 Years+EcoPioneer – Corporate Environmental Leadership Award 2019”
- HZBC was awarded the “3 Years+EcoPioneer – Corporate Environmental Leadership Award 2019”
- SZGP was awarded the “EcoPartner – Corporate Environmental Leadership Award 2019”
